Congress to pressure Obama to force mandatory switch to Dvorak

In response to pressure from Gregory GOrDon key Congressional leaders are urging President Obama to take the lead in supporting a mandatory switch from the Qwerty keyboard to the Dvorak keyboard that Mr. GOrDon has estimated can save the country upwards of One Triillion Dollars per year. Mr. GOrDon based his figures on a study done aa early as 1975 from the book future fact which demonstrated that between the years 1935 and 1975 the country had lost over One Trillion dollars in productivity by maintaining the old antiquaited keyboard.

"The facts are even more amazing today" says GOrDon. "Back in 1975 there were no personal computers and everyone who held an office job was required to type at least 40 words a minute." He adds. "Now there are hundreds of millions of computers in homes, restaurants, internet cafes, airports, bus terminals, libraries and workers are not even tested for their typing skills. it's absurd."

Staff workers for the more than 100 Senators and Congressmen who support GOrDon's idea were unavailable for comment. But the concept is expected to breeze through Congress when it comes up for a vote. New York Senator Chuck Schumer of GOrDon's home state claims to be unfamilar with the idea, but may look into it to see if it has merit.

"I am glad that I finally decided to use my powers to force Congress to act." states GOrDon "I would have put it directly upon the president, but he is just coming off of a Nobel Peace Prize win, so I'll just let him bask in his glory, for now."

All they will be doing is rubberstamping a decision that will be made by the public who is now at odds over the bankrupting of their children and grandchildren to line the pockets of the kleptocracy that is centered in Washington DC."
