Death, where is thy sting???
An interesting fact is that you can not, simply hold your breath until you die. I repeat you can not, no way no how suffocate your self to death by holding your breath. When the body needs air it will make the lungs expand automatically just like your body does not need to tell the legs how to walk nor the heart to pump, you can not take your last breath, unintentionally. What happens is that your body tries to avoid the pain by shutting down and putting itself in hibernation or in a state like being in a coma. The total relaxation of the coma versus the intense pain of a heart attack is a no-brainer so people go ahead, lay down and "die."
Still due to the fact that someone somewhere decided that a baby should be spanked to get its' first breath people continue to be pronounced dead simply because they no longer breath. But leave a dead person alone long enough and my guess is that at some point when the body finally needed air the body would jerk, breath and come back to life. We know that stopping the heart does not constitute death as we can keep a heart pumping indefinetly. The only reason for death is misinformation in that they along with everyone concerned in their health care believes in the Last Breath Syndrome.
Although you may think that your breathing is fully automatic to my personal experience that is not so, it seems to me that we are very much aware of each breath. What I did was to take my last "conscious" breath intentionally. that was quite a while ago.
Well, I have already taken my last breath and believe me it was scary. But once on the other side everything is exactly the same except I do not have to make certain to breathe. I cough, laugh, smile, and breath as usual only not intentionally. Weird but true. Try it when you get the balls it could save your life forever. Just don't take this step while in the middle of a heart attack. This fact combined with the courage to endure the immense pain of a heart attack about which I speak below will keep you alive for many more birthdays.
True Story. Yesterday I had a massive heart attack.
The pain in my chest was immense and it was beginning to shoot down my left arm. Thankfully I was able to distinguish it from run of the mill gas pains that I have had in the past. Actually it was not all that hard to tell the two apart this pain was very great. So I began to lay my self down on the bed and thought of calling 911. But here where I live they don't like you to call 911 without first notifying the staff worker who is in the office. I started to lay down and curl up into my fetal position to ease the pain.
Then I remembered my own advice, if you feel like you are having a massive heart attack the worst thing you can do is to lay down. So I sat up and endured the pain which was massive at that point in time. But I did not die. I sat up and road it out.
It was not the most pain that I've ever felt. That disgrace came at the hands of the Los Angles police department when an officer of the jail pulled me out of line and wrapped a towel around the handcuffs and began to twist the towel causing the hand cuffs to dig in to my bones. THAT IS WHAT I CALL PAIN. I screamed so loud that the captain himself came down to see what was going on. I have also been Tazered about four or five times. I know real pain if only for brief moments. My point is that to you, most of you, the pain in your chest will be the most pain you have ever felt as you go through your first heart attack. Whatever you do don't lay down. In fact if you can stand up and lean against a wall or post of some kind and ride out the pain as you call 911. It is practically impossible to die while standing up.
I posit that when in pain for the heart attack the body shuts down to avoid the pain. You go into coma mode. But the medics who check your pulse may think that you are dead. If my theory is correct then it means by all means you should be put on the same treatment as someone who has survived their heart attack but in whose heart did not stop. After stabilization all that needs be done is to shock you back to life
Although I have known about this for a while I think that I only blogged about it once. While in prison I invented an artificial heart that is inserted into your jugular vein and keeps you going after your heart has worn out.
The artificial heart is a mini turbine that turns on when your heart won't work anymore. Combining these two bits of information will save countless billions of people as time goes on. There is no reason for anyone to die from heart failure. "Having a Heart Attack Stand up." If you can't find the strength to stand up, sit up, but whatever you do, don't lay down and "die."
Trust me, Having a heart attack? Don't go to sleep. If your friends or family are there have them help you" walk it off." Staying alert worked for me. And it may work for you too.
